Charles Kennedy M.D., is CEO of Accountable Care Solutions, Aetna. He is responsible for creating ACOs in partnership with hospitals, medical groups, and other delivery systems. Previously he served as the Vice President for Health Information Technology, at WellPoint, Inc. where he was responsible for building technical solutions which leverage health plan data sets to help improve patient care. He has 20 years of healthcare experience including CEO of Care Assured, a technology start-up company. Prior to that, he served at BlueShield of California. He has deployed several advanced health IT tools and is responsible for creating strategic acquisitions and investments in companies that focus on healthcare technology. Charles has advised governments on health care technology including CMS' $40 billion HITECH program via the H.IT Policy Committee; and via CCHIT; the first Federally designated certification body for Health I.T.. He was appointed to serve on the CCST council in 2010.

Kennedy received his M.D. from UCLA and his M.B.A. from Stanford University.
