Agnes Varghese is serving as a Program Assistant for the California Council on Science and Technology. She recently earned her PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, exploring with a resilience perspective how individuals find strength in times or positions of difficulty.
In pursuit of making science more easily accessible to policymakers and the general public, Agnes has worked with organizations such as the UC Riverside Center for Science to Policy and the UCLA Center for Scholars and Storytellers. At CCST, she is utilizing her science communications skills to help develop CCST’s Stories of Impact project. Agnes holds a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD).
In the fall, she will be joining the 2022 cohort of CCST Science and Technology Policy Fellows.
