CCST Code of Conduct Policy
This Code of Conduct policy outlines the expected behavior and ethical standards for all employees, contractors, volunteers, and representatives of CCST. It is designed to promote a positive and respectful work and community environment, maintain the organization’s reputation, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
All individuals associated with CCST must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Violations of the law will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or other business relationships.
CCST expects all individuals to conduct themselves with honesty, integrity, and transparency in all business dealings and interactions. Dishonesty, fraud, and unethical behavior will not be tolerated.
We are committed to maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic. Harassment, discrimination, and offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
Although it is not possible to list all forms of inappropriate behavior and conduct, the following are examples that are considered inappropriate and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment or other business relationships.
- Violating certain state, federal, or local laws and regulations that indicate unfitness for the job or raises a threat to the safety or well-being of CCST, its employees, customers, partners, and other persons
- Failing to report to CCST, within five days, any conviction under any criminal drug statute for a violation occurring in the workplace
- Dishonesty, including lying and falsifying records
- Violating conflict of interest rules
- Recording telephone communications without the express, prior consent of all parties to the communication
- Violating the Anti-Harassment policy, Violence in the Workplace policy, Drug-Free Workplace policy or any other policy related to Employee conduct
- Engaging in abusive conduct, or bullying, such as using obscene, abusive, or threatening language or gestures or other verbal or physical conduct a reasonable person would find threatening, intimidating, or humiliating
- Displaying excessive or unexcused absenteeism or tardiness
- Sleeping on the job or leaving the work location/work site without authorization for a purpose other than a legally protected activity
- Possessing firearms, weapons, or explosives on company property or while conducting company business without authorization
- Violating security or safety rules or failing to observe safety rules or safety practices; failing to wear required safety equipment; tampering with equipment or safety equipment
- Using the company’s property and supplies, particularly for personal purposes, in an excessive, unnecessary, or unauthorized way
- Negligent or intentional damage of property
- Committing theft or unauthorized possession of company property or the property of fellow employees; possessing or removing any company property, including documents, from the premises without prior permission from management; using company equipment or property for personal reasons without proper authorization; using company equipment for profit
- Giving confidential or proprietary information to competitors; working for a competing business while an employee or representative of the company; breaking confidentiality of information such as, Social Security Numbers, including any part of Social Security Numbers. Personal information also includes driver’s license numbers, state-issued identification card numbers, date of birth, credit or debit or other account numbers, passport numbers, alien registration numbers or health insurance identification numbers.
- Accessing any company files, databases, or servers other than those as to which CCST specifically gave the employee specific express prior permission to access, or—when such permission has been provided—exceeding the extent of access needed to perform the employee’s job duties
- Soliciting gratuities from customers or clients
- Soliciting, selling or collecting funds for any purpose while on working time (not including meals and authorized breaks). Employees who are not on working time shall not interfere with the work of employees who are on working time.
- Falsifying employment or other company records
- Insubordination, including disrespectful conduct towards a supervisor or refusal to perform tasks assigned by a supervisor in an appropriate manner
- Gambling on CCST premises or while conducting company business
If you become aware of any violations of this Code of Conduct policy or other unethical or illegal behavior within CCST, you are encouraged to report it promptly to your supervisor or an appropriate authority. CCST is committed to protecting whistleblowers from retaliation.
This Code of Conduct policy may be reviewed and amended periodically to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Any amendments will be communicated to all individuals associated with CCST.
