Networking Social with CCST Science Fellows and Capital Science Communicators, Jan. 20th

January 11, 2016 | ,

At the heart of policymaking is effective communication, and enabling scientists and engineers to concisely communicate complex issues is a key component of our CCST Science & Technology Policy Fellowship experience.

This is why once again, CCST is teaming up with the Capital Science Communicators (CapSciComm) for a professional networking social:

CCST & CapSciComm Networking Social
Wednesday, January 20, 2016
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pacific
3 Fires Lounge, 1501 L St, Sacramento
RSVP on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/1700840893536032

Members of our Science Fellows alumni will be on hand to talk about their Fellowship experience year, and answer any questions about their year in the California State Legislature and their post-Fellowship careers. Prospective applicants for the 2017 Fellowship Class are especially invited to join us!

Joining us will be members of the Capital Science Communicators — professionals and students who are active in journalism, public relations, creative, policy, and public science fields in the greater Sacramento region. Come meet reporters, writers, outreach specialists, and others who translate science for diverse audiences day-to-day.

This will be the second year that CCST has partnered with CapSciComm for a professional event. California’s policies are stronger with science and clear communication, and we’re excited for this opportunity to blend our respective networks for a fun evening mixer. See you in Sacramento on the 20th!
