Sarah Cate grew up in Indiana where she studied infectious disease before moving to Ireland to study global public health. In her PhD she investigated the cellular causes of a rare childhood disease, and also became interested in how social, economic, and environmental factors can cause disease. Ever curious, she is excited to learn how science and health policy can improve people’s lives.
