Call for Experts: Seeking Organizations for AI Applications and Innovation Showcase

Overview

The California Council on Science and Technology (CCST) is seeking nominations of organizations to participate in an upcoming AI Showcase focused on real-world applications of artificial intelligence. The showcase will take place on March 4th and will highlight practical, responsible, and impactful uses of AI across sectors and will help inform policymakers and government stakeholders about current capabilities, system-level implementations, and emerging opportunities.

Selected participants may be invited to contribute through brief flash presentations, moderated Q&A sessions, and/or as exhibit displayers during the showcase.

Timeline

Nominations are requested by Monday, February 9, 2026.

Areas of Expertise Sought

CCST is seeking institutions and organizations that can demonstrate tangible AI use cases, systems, or technologies currently in deployment or advanced development.

The goal is to showcase how AI is currently being applied in different sectors, how it supports industry operations, research and development, or the California economy, and what future advancements may look like.

CCST is looking for use cases across all sectors. Some example topics include:  

  • Healthcare / Biotechnology
  • Transportation
  • Utilities / Logistics
  • Entertainment
  • Quantum Technologies

We encourage nominations from academia, industry, startups, nonprofits, and public-sector practitioners with hands-on experience developing or deploying AI technologies.

Please feel free to share recommendations or reach out with any questions as we finalize participation for the showcase.
