Lecturer, Non-profit Strategy and Financial Management
Jeffrey Scott is a finance and strategy executive with over 30 years of experience in government, the private sector, consulting, and academia. He currently teaches non-profit strategy and financial management at the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California, San Diego. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the University of Washington in Seattle and held senior leadership positions at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Columbia University.
Prior to entering higher education, Jeff served as Chief Financial Officer of the Export Import Bank of the United States and held senior financial roles with several Fortune/Global 500 companies. He began his career in Washington serving in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Office of Management and Budget.
Jeff graduated from Harvard College. He earned a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. He serves as the Treasurer of the San Diego Natural Science Museum and a board member of the Grameen Foundation. Jeff chairs the CCST Investment Management Committee. He lives in San Diego, California.
