Jacob O’Connor
Placement: Senate Environmental Quality Committee
A lifelong Washingtonian, Jacob researched how to design very small proteins so they cross cellular membranes and can be developed into medicines. They earned their PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Washington and a BA in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from Whitman College. Jacob is currently a Program Associate with the California Council on Science and Technology.
