Paul Furumo
Placement: California Air Resources Board - Office of the Chair
From the Midwest and Hilo, Hawaii, Paul studied sustainable land systems and worked with companies & farmers in Colombia to meet zero-deforestation goals. Paul earned his PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras and a BSc in Biology from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. Paul is now an Air Pollution Specialist, Fuels Evaluation Section, Industrial Strategies Division, at the California Air Resources Board.
