Elana Varner
Placement: Department of Pesticide Regulation - Executive Office
From the Boston area, Elana’s chemical ecology research used pheromones to help address bumblebee conservation and rodent pest management challenges. Elana earned her PhD in Biological Sciences from Simon Fraser University and a BS in Pre-Veterinary Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Elana is now an Environmental Scientist, Reevaluation, with the California Department of Pesticide Regulation.
