Aiyana Cortez
Placement: Senate Housing Committee
Raised in Southern California, Aiyana moved north to study early prediction of drug safety in individuals. Aiyana earned her PhD in Biophysics from the University of California, Davis and a BS as well as a Secondary Teaching Credential in Microbiology from Cal State Long Beach. Aiyana is now a Legislative Aide with California State Senator Ben Allen.
