Garbhita Shah is a Program Associate with the California Council on Science and Technology. She graduated from UC Davis where she majored in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior while minoring in Comparative Literature.
In her role with CCST, she works closely with the Science Services team, supporting programming that delivers on the Disaster Resilience Initiative. This includes expert briefings, workshops, and Science Day at the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA).
She is especially interested and engaged in issues that are at the intersection of climate change and public health and how lived experiences can inform the policy decision-making process.
In her spare time, Garbhita volunteers her time in the community as a birth doula.
