Bethany is the Science Fellows Program Manager at the California Council on Science and Technology. She manages fellow-related activities for the Science & Technology Policy Fellowship, which places PhD-level scientists and engineers in the California State Legislature, State Agencies, and Offices of the Governor for a year of public service. She is a career development professional who is passionate about helping others tell their story, communicate their expertise, and forge a meaningful career path.
Prior to joining CCST, Bethany held a variety of educational and professional development roles, including the position of Senior Career Advisor for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars at the UC Davis Internship and Career Center. She received her PhD in History from UC Davis, where she researched women-owned farms in early 20th century California. She completed BAs in Communication Studies and History at Westmont College in Santa Barbara.
