Perry Gee
Perry is the Program Officer for Alumni Engagement with the California Council on Science and Technology (CCST). Perry works closely with the Fellows Alumni Network, their Alumni Steering Committee, the CCST Science & Technology Policy Fellows program staff, and the CCST Science Services team. Through collaboration, open dialogue, shared ideas, and accountability, he works to discover how to set in motion equitable, diverse, and inclusive opportunities from which the fellows and alumni can benefit.
He joins the CCST team after completing 18 years of service as an academic advisor and student services officer with the University of California, Davis, where he served under the Department of Mathematics from 2005-2013 and the Department of Chemistry from 2013-2023.
At UC Davis, his primary responsibility was to meet with undergraduate students to discuss academic pathways as well as ensure they progressed well towards graduation. Other types of engagement included working with students to create social and networking opportunities through outreach, mentorship, and development.
