Puneet Bhullar, MPPA, is Director of Policy Engagement for CCST, where she contributes her training and experience to the delivery of CCST’s science services, supports policy and outreach efforts, and directs the CCST Science & Technology Policy Fellows program. Puneet is also the lead coordinator of CCST’s annual Science and Technology Week, the organization’s biggest week of the year offering events geared toward California policymakers and highlighting CCST’s mission.
Most recently, Puneet helped lead CCST’s COVID-19 workstream, part of the organization’s Disaster Resilience Initiative that brings California’s science and technology expertise to bear on some of the state’s most critical challenges.
She graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Davis. After joining the CCST team, Puneet received her Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration at California State University, Sacramento. She aligned her thesis with her work and developed what is now CCST’s Phase I report on Research Contracting and Granting with the State of CA: Challenges and Solutions.
Previously, Puneet worked in numerous nonprofit offices, providing support for California’s most disenfranchised communities. During this time, she worked with homeless veterans across the Central Valley and displaced refugees in Sacramento.
