Mark Moline has been a faculty member at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo since 2001. His research areas include biological oceanography, phytoplankton ecology, phytoplankton physiology, phytobiology, bio-optics, remote sensing (autonomous underwater vehicles), and biogeochemistry. His awards include the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientist and Engineers (2001), Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award (2000), and the NASA New Investigator Program Award (1999). He holds a B.A. in Biology from St. Olaf College and a Ph.D. from the University of California Santa Barbara. He was appointed a CCST Fellow in 2008.
