Jeffery Greenblatt, PhD, is an entrepreneur, business developer, strategist, project manager, scientist, grant writer, researcher, energy & space technologist, and futurist. He is the Co-founder of three companies including ABOVE, an early-stage space company building “more space in Space” with a diversity of on-orbit payload platforms, has experience with commercial entities (Google, ABOVE, Emerging Futures), clean energy/greenhouse gas policy research (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Princeton University, California Council on Science and Technology), environmental advocacy (Environmental Defense Fund), and many private clients 20+ years in renewables, hydrogen, low-carbon fuels, electric vehicles, end-use efficiency, emerging energy technologies, non-energy climate policies. He has overseen project management of $4M+ in awards since 2009, spearheaded business development at ABOVE with 70+ potential customers, won the 2021 National Science Foundation Small Business Innovative Research grant, authored over 150 scientific publications, including 60+ peer-reviewed papers in high-impact journals: Nature, Science, Joule, Annual Review, and others. He is the creator and host of 40+ episodes of ABOVE’s Our Future in Space podcast and guest lecturer at Princeton University, the University of California, Berkeley, and Lewis & Clark College.
Dr. Greenblatt holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Chemistry and Physics, summa cum laude, from Haverford College.
